Wedding on the Beach
A wedding on the beach is a romantic and beautiful idea. You'll have the soft lull of the ocean waves, a gentle breeze, soft sand to go barefoot, and you'll be enjoying nature's gorgeous landscaping on your perfect wedding day. While a beach wedding is a romantic idea, there are a few small details you'll want to keep in mind when planning that exciting wedding on the beach. First you'll want to choose a time of the year where the weather is comfortable. Late spring, summer and early fall are a perfect time. Too early in the spring or late in the fall, and it may be a little too chilly. Are you having just your wedding on the beach, or the reception as well? Will people be standing during the wedding, or will you supply chairs? Where will you get the chairs from?Is there a public restroom nearby? Will you need any permits for your beach wedding? Taking a few moments to plan ahead, will make your wedding on the beach a breeze to plan. Knowing what obstacles you might face will help you work around them, rather than trying to figure it out at the last minute. Things like letting your guests know your wedding will be on the sand will help them choose their attire and shoes better. Where will people park? Is there enough parking, or will you shuttle people from a parking area? Long Beach Island has ample parking in the off-season, but planning a wedding on-season will be a bit trickier for parking. What will your plans be if it rains? Do you have a back-up plan? Simple planning ahead will keep your wedding day running smoothly. A wedding on the beach is an incredibly romantic thing, when things go well. Planning ahead is the key to this. Simple things like choosing your wedding photographer ahead of time, knowing what details need to be handled, and being prepared.
