Long Beach Island Hotels and Motels are sorted by location to help you pinpoint where you might want to stay. Most of the hotels are found on the central and southern portion of the island.

We've had great experiences and continue to stay with three oceanfront hotels. Our personal favorites are: Spray Beach, Sea Shell and Engleside. I would happily recommend them all. I've not had the pleasure to stay in some of the others, and can only speak of my personal experience.

The Northern part of the island includes: Barnegat Light, Loveladies, Harvey Cedars, North Beach and Surf City.

The Southern portion of the Island includes Ship Bottom, Brant Beach and Beach Haven, and Holgate.

When driving onto the island, when you reach a T in the road, if you turn to the left, you're going to the North end of the island, turning right brings you to the south.
