The LBI Chowderfest is a chowder cook off on Long Beach Island. It has become a massive event and loved tradition. It's a day of fun for the entire family, but let's face it, it comes down to the clam chowder!
September 30, 2012 - Chowderfest Weekend (Sunday is cook-off)
You get to taste and vote on who you think has the best clam chowder on Long Beach Island! You can taste and vote on New England Clam Chowder and Manhattan Clam Chowder. Which is your favorite? I'm a huge fan of New England Clam Chowder myself. I think my husband prefers Manhattan Clam Chowder!
Anyway, each year thousands of people come to get involved, taste, laugh, drink, and have fun. Who will you be voting for? Will Panzones get your vote, Plantation, maybe Buckalews or Country Kettle? Hmmmm, I guess you won't know unless you come try for yourself.
Here's a look at a previous year's event, thanks to the video services of J and S Video Services! Great job on the video! I loved watching it, and you will too. You can feel the fun vibe from it!
Mark your calendars everyone, after a successful 2012 event, be sure to plan a 2013 visit! You can find all official information about the event here.
Who has the best New England Clam Chowder or Manhattan Clam Chowder? Everyone has a different opinion...what's yours?
