The LBI Chowderfest is a chowder cook off on Long Beach Island. It has become a massive event and loved tradition. It's a day of fun for the entire family, but let's face it, it comes down to the clam chowder!
You get to taste and vote on who you think has the best clam chowder on Long Beach Island! You can taste and vote on New England Clam Chowder and Manhattan Clam Chowder. Which is your favorite? I'm a huge fan of New England Clam Chowder myself. I think my husband prefers Manhattan Clam Chowder!
Anyway, each year thousands of people come to get involved, taste, laugh, drink, and have fun. Who will you be voting for? Will Panzones get your vote, Plantation, maybe Buckalews or Country Kettle? Hmmmm, I guess you won't know unless you come try for yourself.
Here's a look at last year's event, thanks to the video services of J and S Video Services! Great job on the video! I loved watching it, and you will too. You can feel the fun vibe from it!
Mark your calendars everyone, this year's event will be held on October 3 and 4th (2009). The October 3rd event is a free event, while the October 4th Chowder-Cook-off event is ticketed. You can find all official information about the event here.
Who has the best New England Clam Chowder or Manhattan Clam Chowder? Everyone has a different opinion...what's yours?
