Thinking about a beach theme wedding? Better yet, why not have that wedding at the beach itself with a New Jersey shore wedding! My husband and I got married on Long Beach Island back in 2003. It was such a perfect event for us, since we wanted something low-key, casual and personal.

Long Beach Island offers a wide variety of choices. Whether you marry on the beach, in a chapel, on the bay side during a stunning sunset, or in one of the incredible homes offered on the island, you'll find something that suits what you're looking for. Wedding reception places are as diverse as the Beach Haven Yacht Club, The State Room at Quarter Deck or even a local banquet hall at a firehouse. When considering your options, some of the things you'll want to put on your list is the type of beach wedding attire you'll want to wear. Will you go with a traditional and formal beach wedding dress or casual and informal?

Are you looking for beach wedding shoes, or will you go barefoot in the sand? Beach wedding hairstyles are something women will want to keep in mind, as the salty and humid air may help you choose a style.

I've grown up going to LBI, so getting married there was like adding icing to the cake. We rented a gorgeous home in Loveladies with the intention of getting married on the actual beach. Due to rain and winds that weekend, we ended up having it inside, but it made no difference to me. I was in heaven that day. I was marrying the man I love, and we were at the shore. Life was good (and still is)! A New Jersey shore wedding was a perfect experience for us.
