Long Beach Island Summers Newsletter -- March 2009
March 01, 2009
Greetings!

On some mail servers, you may need to expand the message. Included this month: LBI's Green Up Clean Up, The Long Beach Island Wedding Road Show, along with a neat concierge service called "Island Fetch".

Join in LBI's First Annual "GREEN UP, CLEAN UP"

Have plans for Earth Day? If not, you'll want to be a part of Long Beach Island's very first Annual Earth Day, being dubbed "Green Up Clean Up" on April 25th!

Here's the scoop:

This family friendly event is a great way to give back. This is something everyone can be involved in! You're invited to participate in the unofficial kick off to the LBI 2009 season.

Bring your kids, bring your friends, bring your family and get involved in this great Earth Day event. "Green Up Clean Up" is an all day event, with the day kicking off at 9am. "Clean Up" takes place from 9am to noon, but the day is far from over because at noon, there's a free BBQ for all the volunteers!

Wait! That's not all....to top it off, there will be a fun bonfire to kick-off the 2009 LBI Season! The bonfire will take place at 6:30.

Better news? Not only do you get to have fun and take part in something fabulous, you'll also find discounts available at participating businesses including: hotels and motels, shops, restaurants and more!

If a wedding is in your future there's no better place to celebrate it than on Long Beach Island. I got married on Long Beach Island, and it was something I'll cherish forever!

Lastly, I wanted to mention a neat concierge service called Island Fetch. You can find their website at IslandFetch.com. They'll pick up your lunch, dinner, groceries and more. If you'd like more information about this new delivery service, you can call them at (609) 742-1490

I've got a great beach house booked for an off season trip in May. Did you know there's still plenty to do off season? Many people think that the fun starts in the summer, but we love the mellow, quieter times in early spring and late fall too. I like to start my season early, and I'd like to invite you to start enjoying LBI earlier too!

Why not kick your spring fun off with a spring fling this April and catch either the Wedding Road Show, or participate in the LBI "Green Up Clean Up" event. Stick around for the weekend, visit your favorite restaurants, enjoy the weather and relax the weekend away!

Kindly,
Deb Schwabe
