Long Beach Island is bringing back Chocolate week from Feb 12-20th. If you're scrambling for a great romantic idea for Valentine's Day - this is it. There are also family activities available. To see a full list of what's going on - you can go here.
Sweet Vidalia has changed from a Tapas style of dining to larger portions and serving American Bistro. They are open daily at 5:00 during the Summer 2010 season and would love you to stop by and give them a try.
You can check their full schedule at Surflight.org. They'll be offering a wide range of shows - 42nd Street, High School Musical, Cabaret, Accomplice, a Holiday Spectacular and so much more!
What's playing this year for Children at Surflight? Princess and the Pea, Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella, Peter Pan, Sleeping Beauty, The Wizard of Oz, Snow White, The Little Mermaid, and Winnie the Pooh. Check the link for dates and times, and enjoy some great classics.
Jazzy Scallop & Seafood Festival includes the best of both worlds, food and music! You don't want to miss out on June 19th. Pencil this one in on your calendar! You can buy tickets at Viking Village shops.
Love Corvettes? My husband and I enjoyed strolling through and checking them all out last year. My favorites are from the 80's and 90's, while he prefers the older style. What about you? Check them all out on June 5th - right around Ninth St. If you're a Corvette fan, don't miss this one.
The International Lighthouse Film Festival is back in LBI! This annual event takes place in early June. Join the fun from June 4-6th. You don't want to miss this!
Like antiques? You should jot these two dates on your calender since Viking Village will be hosting two antique & collectible shows on Aug 8 and September 19th! (9am-5pm)
If you're looking for something to peruse - be sure to add the Viking Village Art Show to your calender for May 30th. Their other upcoming shows will happen in Aug and September. (10am-4:30pm)
The LBI Wedding road show is approaching quickly. (APRIL 18)

Coconuts in Ship Bottom has opened once again -- they reopened on April 2, 2010
Tropics and Tropics Too will reopen on Saturday April 10th.
For now, they'll be open on weekends until Mother's day weekend. Don't miss their annual spring clearance sale through the end of April.

LBI Restaurants, Yum! Yum! What more can I say? We ate out a lot while down the shore. We enjoyed delights at places like: Surf City Bakery, Tuckers, Sco-Jos, Kubels, Uncle Wills, Dark Star and more. We even hopped over the causeway to Mud City Crabhouse...my husband is in love with the crab cakes at Lobster Claw (I had lobster cakes that night), while I was totally digging the clams I got at Mud City...clams for appetizer, clams for dinner...mmmm, mmmm, mmmm
Long Beach Island is my favorite place...it just is. Love it! We spent a week on the Island during May and it was delightful. We stayed at a lovely home in Brant Beach this time, and had beautiful views. Combine that with the nice weather we had, and it was a relaxing week.
I'm looking at a week in August and a week possibly in October too...I just can't get enough of this great place, what about you?

There is a film festival coming to LBI. The Lighthouse International Film Festival will take place from June 4-7th. They are currently calling for entries. If you'd like to submit an entry, the rules and guidelines are here: http://www.lighthousefilmfestival.org/submit.html
I'll be going into more detail about the film festival in our May newsletter which will come out the first week of May. Make sure you sign up for it so you don't miss anything.
